News least likely to surprise and most likely to stimulate the gag reflex

January 26, 2009

Had this blog begun even six months ago, the above title would’ve been tied to George W. Bush more often than not, but as we now have a new, and hopefully better, President, I’m using it today to describe some NFL (sort of) news.  ( I know, I really have to leave W. in the past, but it’s like breaking up with a bad girlfriend.  Even though every moment with her was hell on earth, once she’s gone, you not only have to cleanse yourself  of  all the awful things you did to each other and fill up all this new extra time in your life with productive pursuits, but sometimes, late at night, you hold your pillow and cry and wish she’d start a stupid war or approve torture or mangle the English language just one more time.  Or maybe that’s just me.)

Terrell Owens (I refuse to call him T.O. and you should too) is going to have his own reality show on VH1.  Please, for the love of God, do not ever watch it.  I shouldn’t even be calling attention to it.

For me, finding a niche has been like trying to choose a favorite among my own children. There are so many things I love to do, but one I'm passionate about and that's writing.
