Polish Movie Posters

July 5, 2009

I don’t even remember how I originally stumbled across Polish movie posters.  Most likely, it was on one of the movie websites I frequent.  When or where is hardly important, except to say thank you.  These posters are at a level of art you rarely find in the Photoshopped, floating heads posters we see at the multiplex, but they also often reach what could only be called “high strangeness.”

A few of my favorites:

A beautiful interpretation of the man.

I want this on my wall.

This is for Weekend at Bernie’s and is a good example of how strange these posters can get.  There’s some kind of puppet thing going on here, which makes sense, but this promises a much more interesting movie than we actually get.

Here’s a web site with more posters than you can shake a stick at: Polish

For me, finding a niche has been like trying to choose a favorite among my own children. There are so many things I love to do, but one I'm passionate about and that's writing.
