Taking the plunge…again for the first time

July 26, 2009

If it’s possible to be apathetically anti-something, that’s how I’ve felt about Twitter for awhile now.  At first, it just seemed completely pointless and narcissistic.  Then it was everywhere and an overwhelming backlash built up in my heart.  Finally, I actually did sign up for it a few months ago, but couldn’t get into it.  Then, about a month ago, I tried again, but it didn’t take.  I’m trying again, though, and this time, I’m starting to see some of the fun in following people on Twitter.  There are some really funny people there, and so far, I’m liking the quick links to (and tidbits of) news and sports.  I can’t say that I plan to post (tweet?) a lot myself, but if you want, you can follow me at ajnumber17. I’ve also set it up so that my last 5 posts show up in the sidebar of this blog.  That might give you an idea if I’m at all interesting enough to follow.

For me, finding a niche has been like trying to choose a favorite among my own children. There are so many things I love to do, but one I'm passionate about and that's writing.
